Job Title: Community Outreach Coordinator Location: Palm Beach or Broward County
Reports to: Vice President of Integrated Marketing
Supervises: Volunteers and Interns (occasionally seasonal and temporary workers)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain a calendar of outreach activities including events, survey deployment, community activations, appearances, and other outreach opportunities. This information must be legible, shared, and available for others within the company to access and always up-to-date.
- Participate in developing outreach strategies for a variety of clients and projects.
- Manage street teams and other outreach personnel to ensure goals are met.
- Nurturing new and old relationships with community partners.
- Research opportunities to reach target audiences in the community.
- Manage the coordination of a single to several projects at once, running concurrently with different clients.
- Schedule and manage regular in-person outreach activities.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets for community outreach activities.
- Prepare accurate records and reports on the outreach activities.
- Work closely with marketing and PR team members to develop outreach programs and initiatives.
- Attend in-person and virtual events for clients and The Mosaic Group.
- Contribute to RFPs and proposals as appropriate.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of professional work experience in community outreach, marketing, or public relations
- College degree in marketing, communications, or business; or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience working with cloud-based file management software such as Google Drive and Dropbox
- Experience in project management software such as Teamwork, Asana, Basecamp, Monday, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Inform the CEO, and Office Manager if at any time your driver’s license becomes suspended or revoked for any reason. Also, if at any time you do not have dependable transportation.
- Maintain personal transportation, regularly needed during business hours
- Obey all traffic laws
- Follow company Operational and Employee Handbook policy and procedures.
- Timely submit all eligible and approved company expenses for reimbursement, using the company’s designated processes.
- Do not conduct yourself in a way to compromise the company’s reputation or revenue.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be accountable and take full responsibility for tasks, assignments, and projects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish and/or Creole a plus
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
- Consistent punctuality when attending meetings and events
- Attends business and industry events and meetings after regular business hours Is available during business hours for meetings
- Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces when the job requires walking around outdoors
- Ability to work outside in Florida’s hot inclement weather
- Driving to client locations, client events, and company events
- Lift to 20 pounds, regularly when conducting and coordinating events
- Spend long hours sitting and using electronic equipment
- Using electronic devices for long periods and throughout each workday (not inclusive of mobile phones, PDAs, laptops, desktops, etc.)
