BLACK DOLLARS MATTER –  CELEBRATE THE 12th ANNUAL NATIONAL BLACK BUSINESS MONTH ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2015

West Palm Beach, FL | August 19, 2015August is National Black Business Month (NBBM) and is creating awareness that Black Dollars Matter.  To celebrate NBBM, The Mosaic Group in partnership with the Urban League of Broward County, Digital Grass Innovation & Technology, and several business and community partners will host the 6th Annual National Black Business Month Networking & Awards Reception on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Urban League of Broward County located at 560 NW 27th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311.

We are inviting the South Florida business community to attend and not miss out on valuable information, business opportunities, and networking with professionals from the Tri-County region.  The reception will include an awards presentation, hors d’oeuvres by Refresh Live, cocktails by Jack Daniels, and live entertainment by Randy Corinthian of RC Music Group.

The Mosaic Group will present three deserving Honorees with the prestigious Vanguard Award for their leadership, dedication, and advocacy for minority-owned businesses in South Florida. This year’s Honorees are Dale Holness, Broward County Commissioner, District 9; Ann McNeil, President of MCO Construction and President of National Association of Black Women in Construction  (NABWIC); and Dr. Germaine Smith-Baugh, President & CEO of the Urban League of Broward County.

ABOUT NATIONAL BLACK BUSINESS MONTH

National Black Business Month is an annual initiative to increase the number and scale of African/Caribbean‐American owned businesses in the United States and globally.  2015 marks the 12th National Black Business Month, encouraging consumers and institutions to visit at least one black owned business on each of the 31 days of August.  There are 1.9 million African-American businesses, which encompasses seven percent of all U.S. companies.  NBBM was founded by Frederick E. Jordon and John William Templeton in 2004.
