SOUTH FLORIDA ENTREPRENEURS TO LAUNCH SOFTWARE TO REVOLUTIONIZE EVENT PLANNING INDUSTRY

MUSTATTEND.CO LIVE 11.12.13

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Local Entrepreneurs Ann Marie Sorrell and Sophia Nelson, of the Mosaic Group, along with tech industry stakeholders Teodor Talov, Monique Olivera, and BIT Miami, will host a “MustAttend Live” Launch Party! The party is a public Beta launch for MustAttend.Co, NEW software that will revolutionize the Event Planning Industry. Just think Groupon® meets Eventbrite®. The “MustAttend Live” Launch Party will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 6pm at the West Palm Beach Lake Pavilion (101 South Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33401).  This event is free and open to media outlets, event industry professionals and organizations, and the general public.   Attendees will experience a live demonstration of the software, a preview of future features including the mobile application,  partake in appetizers and beverages, and perhaps even score some giveaways all while mixing and mingling with the Who’s Who of South Florida’s tech and event planning industry. “MustAttend Live” will also serve as the kick-off to Startup West Palm Beach Weekend spearheaded by Startup Palm Beach Founders Nicholas Mohnacky and Chris Callahan.

With over twenty years of combined event planning and marketing expertise, Sorrell and Nelson understand the challenges faced by event organizers to effectively market and manage an event with ease, while meeting client, sponsor, and attendee expectations. Sorrell believed that there was a way to address these challenges and embarked on a search with Nelson to create MustAttend.co, a virtual destination for business event deals as well as event management and marketing (ticketing & registration software).  MustAttend.co‘s primary focus will be conferences, conventions, networking meetings, charitable functions, and professional/continuing education forums.

In the making for approximately one year, MustAttend.co has generated a considerable buzz among industry experts and professionals in West Palm Beach and is quickly generating traction in Broward and Miami-Dade.  Moved by the overwhelming support from friends to bring MustAttend.co to life, Sorrell attended Startup Weekend Tampa in June 2013 — a global network of passionate leaders and entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals, teams and communities – the come together, share ideas, form teams, and launch a startup in 54 hours.   It was at Startup Weekend Tampa 2013 that Sorrell pitched the idea and won overwhelming support by her Tech peers.  Sorrell and Nelson partnered with software developers Teodor Talov and Monique Olivera. They worked vigorously to build a prototype and developed a business model in approximately 36 hours.  Since Startup Weekend, Sorrell, Nelson, Talov, and Olivera have partnered with BIT MIAMI, a South Florida based Tech Collaborative to continue development of the software.  Established this year, it is BIT MIAMI’s vision to build a forum and network to bridge the digital divide among under-represented communities in technology while transforming the entrepreneurial landscape from conceptualization to presentation.
